Description

Round Strand Wire Rope (6×19) is one of the most widely used wire rope constructions. It consists of 6 strands, each made of 19 wires, twisted around a central core, which can be fiber core (FC) or independent wire rope core (IWRC). The 6×19 construction strikes a balanced combination of strength and flexibility, making it ideal for general-purpose lifting, rigging, hoisting, and towing operations. The “19 wires per strand” design offers greater abrasion resistance than ropes with more wires (e.g., 6×37), while still maintaining moderate flexibility for easy handling and reeving through pulleys or drums.
