Description
The Orion Red Parachute Signal Rocket is a high‑performance marine distress signal designed for both day and night use. When fired, it launches a bright red flare attached to a parachute to approximately 1,150 feet (350 meters) altitude, burning for about 40 seconds with an intensity of 30,000 candela. USCG, SOLAS, and Transport Canada approved, it’s built to meet stringent safety standards. Compact yet powerful, this self‑contained signal is ideal for offshore or coastal vessels that require a highly visible emergency distress device. Store safely, but rely on it when seconds count.
The ORION marine distress signal complies with the requirements of SOLAS 74/96. Designed to withstand a variety of weather conditions, it is particularly well suited to long-range signalling. Extremely simple to operate, ignition guaranteed by a pull wire system. Produces a red flame for approximately 40 seconds at a power of 30,000 candelas. Minimum projection height of 300 m.
