HPx-346 Analogue Radar to Network Converter

Brands:

The HPx-346 is a versatile, energy-efficient radar converter that bridges legacy analogue radar systems with modern network infrastructure. By digitising radar video and other signals and distributing them over Ethernet in standard formats (e.g., ASTERIX CAT-240), it enables seamless integration of older radar hardware into contemporary display and processing systems. Its compact form factor, web-based control, and low power draw make it ideal for embedded, maritime, or constrained environments. Plus, with options for redundancy (the HPx-346D), it offers reliable networked radar output even for mission-critical applications.

Description

The HPx-346 from Cambridge Pixel is a compact, low-power unit that captures analogue radar video (including trigger and azimuth signals) and converts it into a digital network stream. It digitizes the input at up to 100 MHz sampling, forming UDP packets for network distribution. The system supports lossless compression and open network standards, making it easy to integrate with modern radar display or processing systems.

The device is configurable via a built-in web interface, or through a programming API (C++, C#, Java) using the SPx Development Library enabling both monitoring and control.

Form factor options include: standalone box, 19” rack-mount unit, or OEM card giving flexibility for different deployment environments.
