Description

Compacted Steel Wire Rope is a high-performance wire rope made by compressing (compacting) the outer strands after or during the stranding process. This compaction increases the rope’s density, reduces the outer diameter, and enhances contact area between wires, resulting in a rope that is stronger, smoother, and more wear-resistant than standard rope constructions of similar size. The compacting process reshapes round wires or strands into a more flattened or hexagonal profile, improving crushing resistance and fatigue life, especially in high-load and multi-layer spooling applications.
