The 6×24 single-layer rope consists of 6 outer strands, each made up of approximately 24 wires, wrapped around a central core (IWRC or FC). This rope offers a balance between flexibility and abrasion resistance, sitting between coarser ropes like 6×19 (more abrasion-resistant) and finer ones like 6×36 (more flexible). It is suitable for general-purpose lifting, pulling, and rigging, particularly where moderate bending is expected, and the rope may come into abrasive contact with surfaces or materials.
