Studlink Chain – Heavy-duty chain with integrated studs for superior strength and reduced deformation, used in anchoring and mooring applications.

Delivery & Availability: Typically 10–21 working days – excluding heavy/bulky items. Please contact us for details.

Description

The Studlink Chain is a robust, heavy-duty chain characterized by a solid bar (stud) across the center of each link. This design enhances the chain’s strength, prevents link deformation under load, and reduces the risk of kinking during operation. Commonly used in marine and offshore environments, studlink chains are the industry standard for vessel anchoring systems, mooring lines, and offshore platform securing due to their high load-bearing capacity and reliable performance. These chains are typically manufactured to standards like ISO 1704, DIN 81860, or OCIMF, and can be class-certified by DNV, ABS, LR, or other regulatory bodies.

The Studlink chain is usually used in naval settings but, in recent years, also in the yacht industry.

Manufactured according to the ISO 1704 standard.

Available in standard lengths of 27.5 meters or custom lengths upon request.

Available in grade 2 and grade 3.

The volume of anchor chain to be stored in the chain locker can be estimated at approximately 0.5 cubic meters per ton of chain (6 cubic feet per 1,000 pounds).

Certification is available with any IACS entity.
