Description

It is a marine communication device used to transmit and receive Automatic Identification System (AIS) data, allowing vessels to broadcast their position, speed, and course while also receiving the same information from nearby ships. It utilizes Self-Organized Time Division Multiple Access (SOTDMA) technology, providing faster transmission rates and enhanced visibility compared to traditional Class B devices.

It enhances maritime navigation and safety by providing real-time tracking, collision avoidance alerts, and voyage logging. It can be integrated with other navigation systems through interfaces like NMEA 2000, USB, and optional Wi-Fi or LAN.
